Auschwitz and Birkenau

While in Poland (we only went for the day), we took a tour of the concentration camps

Krakow, Poland

we took an overnight train to Poland, which Tully and I nicknamed the "Evil Polish Express" There was a MIDNIGHT stop in Katowice, Poland, which was a little scary, but we managed to switch trains with no problem. We didn't get any sleep though because of Customs waking us up multiple times and screaming in German and Polish.

Amsterdam

Our next stop was Amsterdam. We went to the Anne Frank House

I went shoe shopping - Dutch style

Here is Tully in front of one of the many canals
Here is Tully in the Red Light District
We also got to see the Heineken Museum

Antwerp, Belgium

Here are some pictures of us in Antwerp

Brussels, Begium

We went backpacking all over Europe in November 2006. We went to Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Auschwitz, Vienna, Munich, Interlaken, Paris, Normandy, and London

Here are some pictures from our first stop in Brussels

Martha's Vineyard

In July, we took a trip to Martha's Vineyard.

We brought our bikes and rode all over the island

we also decided to rent mopeds, which wasn't a very good idea. Several police officers, ambulances, sprained ankles, knees, torn ligaments, and a lot of cuts later - I promised Tully to never go on a moped again. Apparently, I wasn't very good at it, but I healed and I learned my lesson :-)

St Thomas

In May, we went on vacation to St Thomas with some friends. We flew to San Juan and took this VERY TINY plane over to St Thomas. As you can tell, I did not know we were taking a plane this small. It was interesting...we survived...and I don't plan on doing that any time soon

Here is Tully being a "ham" in St Thomas

Tully had a great time fighting the pirates

5 boro bike tour

Tully and I participated in the 5-boro bike tour in New York City. It was very cool to ride around all the streets with absolutely no traffic.

The White House

Tully and I got a private tour of the White House, thanks to our friend Dan. We got to see the west wing and the Oval office (of course we couldn't take any pictures) but here we are in the press conference room.

Tully, of course, is making a VERY important speech.

Maui

Tully and I watched the sun rise on Haleakala in Maui

Kona, Hawaii

We went on an ATV ride which was so much fun!

Kauai, Hawaii

Tully and I took a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands.

Here is a picture of Tully on our balcony.

This was Tully's favorite excursion. It was called the mudbug safari. Let's just say I really didn't know what I was getting myself into....and Tully drove.

That was us (the tourguide took the picture). I think we were cleaning mud out of our hair for DAYS! Tully loved every second of it.

Tully and I went on another excursion and did a bike ride down one of the canyons.

We also took a 6 mile hike over lava rock to see real lava flow into the ocean. It was incredibly hot but definitely the most amazing thing we've ever seen

This was a huge Chess game and it was our favorite thing to play on board. Yup, we're dorks, but we had an awesome time!

Las Vegas

Tully had another business trip in Las Vegas and I flew out for the weekend to join him. We had a great time exploring all of the different casinos. We stayed at the Luxor which has an inclinator, as opposed to an elevator. The inclinator travels upwards on an incline to the different floors. It's a very weird feeling.
